FOCUSED ON THE DETAILS
Electrolysis treats each hair follicle with a fine probe and an electrical current. Unlike laser, it does not rely on pigment in the hair, so it can be considered for light-colored hairs as well as darker hairs.
When individual hairs
need individual care.
It is a permanent hair-removal method that requires a course of treatment. Clearing an area takes time because hairs are treated individually and grow in different cycles. Your plan depends on the area, density and pattern of growth.
Facial hair
Discuss unwanted chin, upper-lip or other facial hairs and the appointment time suitable for your area.
Light-colored hair
Electrolysis can be an option for blonde, gray, white or red hairs that do not respond well to laser.
Remaining hairs
Ask about individual hairs left after previous hair-removal treatments or a smaller area you want to focus on.
OUR EQUIPMENT
Apilus Senior 3G
At Zvir Esthetics, electrolysis appointments use the Apilus Senior 3G system. We focus on the hairs you want treated, discuss sensitivity and explain how the time you book relates to the area and density.
You do not need to arrive with a technical treatment plan. Tell us what you have tried, what remains and what you would like to change. Your specialist will assess the area and discuss a practical starting point. Read how electrolysis with Apilus works.
YOUR APPOINTMENT

03 · Plan follow-up
The specialist works follicle by follicle. The amount treated in one appointment depends on the area, density and session length.

COMPARE YOUR OPTIONS
Electrolysis or laser hair removal?
Electrolysis
Treats individual follicles and does not depend on hair pigment. Often considered for targeted hairs, lighter hair colors or a smaller area that needs detailed attention.
Contact cooling helps with comfort during treatment. Your specialist adjusts the treatment plan after assessing your skin and hair.
Laser hair removal
Targets pigment in the hair for long-term reduction across a treatment area. Suitability depends on skin, hair and other individual factors.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Electrolysis questions
-
The right appointment length depends on the area and the number of hairs to treat. If you are new to electrolysis or unsure, call (929) 722-0732 before choosing a session. Thirty minutes costs $60; 45 minutes costs $90. A session length does not guarantee that an entire area will be cleared.
-
Yes. For a 30-minute appointment, the $60 total includes a $25 deposit with $35 remaining. For 45 minutes, the $90 total includes a $50 deposit with $40 remaining. Check the service description and full total in Square before confirming. View appointment prices.
-
The session price is not the price of a complete course. The total depends on the time required across repeated appointments and how the area progresses. Discuss your goals, likely appointment lengths and a practical schedule with the specialist before committing.
-
Electrolysis is a permanent hair-removal method. It requires repeated appointments to address hairs through their growth cycles; it does not mean every hair in an area is permanently removed in one visit. The total course varies by person.
-
Electrolysis does not rely on the pigment targeted by laser. It can be considered for these hair colors. Your specialist will assess the area and discuss suitability and a treatment plan.
-
There is no universal session count. The size of the area, number of hairs, hair-growth pattern, previous treatments and consistency of appointments all affect the course. We reassess the plan as treatment progresses.
-
You may feel sensation during treatment, and sensitivity differs by area and person. Discuss your comfort and any concerns before the appointment; we do not promise a painless procedure.
-
Ask the studio for electrolysis-specific preparation instructions before removing hair. The specialist needs to see and work with the hairs; preparation for electrolysis may differ from preparation for laser.
-
Contact us about the timing of your previous treatments and the hairs that remain. Your specialist can help you decide whether electrolysis is an appropriate next step.
-
Follow the aftercare instructions provided for your appointment. Temporary skin reactions can occur, and care should be tailored to the treated area. Contact the studio with concerns after treatment.
